We want starting a food business in Atlanta to be attainable and encouraging for anyone with a great business idea! We hope you’ll find our easily customizable pricing and low minimum payment model refreshing when compared against the traditional models that require steep upfront pricing with high unattainable monthly rental rates and yearly contracts!

Once we've received your interest form and determined if we think Leaven can help your business rise and transform, we will reach out with an invite for an in-person tour and a get-to-know-you session at our shared-use commercial kitchen on Laredo Drive in Decatur, GA.
COMPLETE ONBOARDING AND BECOME A MEMBER!
Pay the $125 Onboarding fee and complete your licensing inspection. If you need help, our licensing consultant Lauren Carey can walk you through the entire licensing process ($150/hr).

What is required to produce at Leaven Kitchen?
If you don’t have any of the items listed below, we are happy to point you in the right direction during the onboarding process!
- A valid business license
- A Department of Agriculture License (we can assist you to obtain your license)
- Insurance Certificate (COI), Leaven must be listed as a certificate holder
- ServSafe Certification - If you need certification, we recommend this ServeSafe Training
Who can join Leaven Kitchen?
Leaven is certified for the Department of Agriculture, so you would have to be producing food that would be packaged and sold wholesale or retail. Think prepared meals that your customers would just warm up at home, beverages, baked goods.
**Please note that we are currently not able to accept caterers or food trucks in our current space since those are only permitted at a Dept of Health kitchen.**

Can I bring in my own equipment?
Yes. Many of our members bring in and/or store their own equipment on site.
Do you accept food trucks?
We are currently not able to accept caterers or food trucks in our current space since those are only permitted at a Dept of Health kitchen.
